Bob McCarthy is a native of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. He gets his mail elsewhere these days, but home will forever be South of Boston. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where he’d later return to for a Master of Arts in Professional Writing. He has spent years chasing a style shaped in equal parts by the writers he admires and the music that moves him. When not writing or listening to music, he passes the time trying to play guitar and reminding himself to savor every minute with his family. He considers his first novel, More Than Tom Jones, an apprentice novel. The Sun Climbs the Trees is his second novel.
