Carrie’s life seemed normal, despite being unable to remember anything before the age of thirteen due to a freak accident. When a mysterious man named Jeremiah comes to bring her back to a palace, where she supposedly is arranged to rule in place of her dying father, her life takes a turn she never expected. But is it a turn for the better? Or for worse? About the Aimee Oates is 13 years old and has lived in the Texas Hill Country all of her life. She is the youngest of three children and has played competitive basketball for many years. Aimee is also busy with a full schedule of pre-advanced placement classes and is active in her church youth group. Aimee’s love of writing and art was developed by three amazing Ms. Emily Berset, the best art teacher who ever lived; Mrs.Tracey Tully, who truly believed in Aimee’s writing and worked hard to make sure Aimee believed in it herself; and Ms. LeeAnn Thomas, who provided encouragement, wisdom, and an example for Aimee to follow. Aimee has written several poems, short stories, and one novel. She is pleased to present a collection of her writings as her first published work.
