My latest book, Almost a Martian, is a collection of stories about my youth where I try to fit in but rarely succeed. Living with my sister and single mother in 1970s Southern California, I continually find myself in ridiculous situations of my own making. From nearly dyeing myself permanently green to getting myself shot in the head with an arrow, you'll either burst out laughing or turn red with second-hand embarrassment as I navigate my elementary school years. Almost a Martian is a collection of stories for those who want to feel better about themselves by contrast. I live in Bonita, California with my wife, Colleen.
