Brian Budzynski earned his MFA from Roosevelt University, where he received the university's thesis award. He has worked for Dalkey Archive Press, Fiction Collective 2, Other Voices, American Book Review, and Review of Contemporary Fiction. For the past 20 years, he has worked as a writer and editor in various capacities. He lives in Illinois.
