Brooke Dierkhising has drawn inspiration for her writing through numerous wonder-filled experiences with children in nature. Along the way she has earned a Master in Education, taught in the public school system and created fun out-of-school enrichment programing for kids. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband, daughter, two cats, and a dog with big ears. In winter, she enjoys spending as much time as possible reading by the fire and making art. When the weather warms gardening and biking take over. Overall she loves contemplating nature, cooking, checking out community events, playing games, and just sitting on the couch.
