ASIN B00656UK76 moved to the most recent edition here “Treat yourself to the debut of mystery fiction's newest lesbian detective, Leona (Leo) Reese. Lake takes us on a twisted ride through sinister secrets and lies and gives us a story that promises to keep everyone up way past bedtime.” ~Ellen Hart, author of The Jane Lawless Mystery Series ————————————— Leona "Leo" Reese is a 33-year-old police patrol sergeant with over ten years of law enforcement experience. After she fails her bi-yearly shooting qualification due to a vision problem, Leo is temporarily assigned to the investigations division of the state's Department of Human Services. She's shell-shocked by her vision impairment and frustrated to be sent work in another department, even temporarily. On her first day on the new job, she's assigned a case where a woman at an independent living facility for elders has been murdered by an apparent burglar. But all is not as it seems, and it will take all her smarts to outwit a dangerous criminal. Will she uncover the murderer before other people are robbed and killed? “The new mystery series – featuring two of the most fascinating and surprising protagonists yet – is a humdinger. Lake's deft portrayal of her new sleuth rocks. I can't wait for Book 2!” ~Jessie Chandler, author of The Shay O'Hanlon Caper Series
