I grew up with an active imagination in Michigan and dreamed about being a Disney illustrator. While at Northern Michigan University, I discovered I loved writing stories far more than drawing them, dumping the Illustration degree to pursue a B.A. in Writing (fiction). I had the pleasure of studying under John Smolens, who's become a favorite author of mine and he continues to teach me through his novels. "Porcelain Angel" is my debut novel for older Young Adults published for Amazon Kindle. The process taught me more than college ever did and I apply those lessons to my next manuscript (and short stories). As for nonfiction, I write the monthly newsletter for a fitness studio and I'm a regular contributor to Poleranking.com. These allow me the pleasure of combining my passions: writing, dance, and health. I continue to live in Michigan with my ever supportive, amazing husband—my best friend—and our two dogs.
