C.J. Sorvik is an aspiring fantasy novelist who daylights as a career firefighter. Raised in the north woods of Minnesota, he spent his days as a wild child in the forest, usually pretending to slay orcs, goblins, dragons, or any other ne'er-do-well that had the misfortune of crossing him on imaginary quests. Finishing college with a BA in Communication he set forth into the world aimless and has worked a menagerie of jobs such as a counselor for troubled youth, a ministry director at a church, server and restaurant manager, and construction worker to name but a few. Now he lives life with the great privilege of being a husband, father, and servant to his community (as well as being an unstoppable imagination machine... which usually gets him into trouble). If not doting on his family, working for the fire department, or writing, you'll find him enjoying whichever one of his many hobbies his ADD dictates must be done at the moment: daydreaming, running, hiking, biking, sewing, camping, studying, or any number of others.
