I primarily read literary fiction (with the occasional thriller or romance!) and short story collections. Formerly: bookseller. Currently: creative writing instructor for adults & teens. I enjoy traveling, bouldering, horseback riding, eating, wandering NYC, hiking, doting on my orange tabby cat... the list goes on. As a reader and as a writer, I'm bored of the "likable" vs "unlikeable" binary re: female characters. I'm drawn to complicated, flawed, unhinged characters (aka human beings...) who make mistakes. And I'm always open to book recs along these lines!
