She has her MFA from Pacific University and her stories have appeared in American Short Fiction, Wigleaf, The Normal School, Tin House and Kenyon Review Online among other places. Hannah has attended artist-in-residence programs at Vermont Studio Center, Sou’ Wester, Foundation Obras in Portugal, and Gullkistan in Iceland. She is the author of the chapbook, Our Reincarnated, from ELJ Editions, and is currently at work on her first novel. In 2013, she received the Pushcart Prize for her story "If the Man Took” and is also winner of the Catherine Doctorow Innovative Fiction Prize. Ruocco received her MFA at Brown, and a Ph.D. in creative writing from the University of Denver. Her most recent novel is Dan, published by Dorothy, A Publishing Project.
