Greg Foremen is meanwhile increasingly obsessed with ominous, seemingly unrelated phenomena and fears what they could possibly portend. Arlene Russell, a vivacious and talented TV reporter who has a proclivity for risking it all, realizes that Greg is her ideal man and unashamedly goes after him. Add several returning characters that are already familiar to readers of the series and you have a gripping, entertaining novel that will have many burning the midnight lights.
