Canadian Critical Approaches is an accessible and yet comprehensive account of Canadian politics and government. The text gives appropriate weight to the political concerns of women as well as Aboriginal, French, and new Canadians. It also continues to be one of the few texts to tackle the issue of social class, especially related to the concern with government debt, and provides insights into the mass media, public opinion polls, election finance, and voting behaviour.
