Carol Clayton was born and raised in Northern England where she acquired her love of nature and the outdoors. Graduating from the University of Sunderland with a degree in Business Education she taught for eight years before starting her own business. After completing a creative writing course, which fueled her passion for writing, she had several articles published in various magazines. Carol has had many adventures travelling the world with her photographer husband, collecting material for her debut novel 'The Girl from Penthorpe Hill', and the sequel ‘Contribution’. While travelling through the Australian Outback, Carol completed and edited her first novel. She started the sequel when living in Costa Rica and then finished it in the United States. Carol now resides in the scenic Colorado Rockies with her husband where they enjoy hiking the beautiful forests and mountains. When they are not travelling, they love spending as much time as possible with family and friends. Carol and her husband also participate in art shows across Colorado and other states. They both enjoy this time as they get to meet many interesting people and share their adventures, while selling both the novels and photographs. Carol’s next project will be to start writing the stories behind the photos as usually every spectacular photo has involved an adventure up to that point.
