A graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman's College with a degree in Russian, Carol Walsh Greer worked in the Soviet Union for a year before earning a master's degree in Slavic Languages and Literatures from the University of Kansas. In addition to teaching and producing two published novels—UNLOVELY and BOXING WENDY—Carol writes a bi-monthly column for a special interest magazine. She's been writing fiction since grade school. Carol's first novella, BLUE HAWAII (1973), received lukewarm parental reviews, but "showed promise." Critics agree that her style has improved considerably since third grade. Carol is a native of northern Pennsylvania, but has lived south of the Mason-Dixon for over twenty years. She, her husband Stan, and their six children make their home in Virginia.
