Casey Lawrence recently completed a Master of Arts at Brock University in Canada with a research project on public opinion, queer shame, and the influence of Oscar Wilde's legacy on Ulysses. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in English at Trinity College Dublin on gender and queer themes in James Joyce and Virginia Woolf's work. The vice-president of the Gay-Straight Alliance and editor of the yearbook in high school, while an undergraduate she volunteered with the Brock English Students’ Association, Brock Faith & Life, Brock Pride, and the Brock Leaders Citizenship Society, among other organizations. She is a queer activist, feminist, democratic socialist and writes queer contemporary fiction, sci-fi, academic articles, and book reviews. Her two bi+ YA novels, Out of Order and Order in the Court, are available wherever books are sold online.
