This brief essay discusses a simple but pleasing travellers’ game, discovered through a passing mention in the memoirs of an eminent man-of-letters. It offers elaborations of the rules and etiquette, and suggests other (rather fanciful) literary links. This hand-sewn chapbook comes complete with two scorecards for the game, and Jo Valentine’s whimsical and strange artwork.
