We open with Sam Gindin outlining what a socialist society might look like, and why we must map it out: "In these dispiriting times the need for structures to more effectively organize and mobilize struggles is clear enough, but transcending pessimism and reviving revolutionary hope needs an animating vision as well, a utopia that is both dream and possible reality."
