CATE LINEBERRY is the author of "Be Free or Die: The Amazing Story of Robert Smalls' Escape from Slavery to Union Hero" (coming June 20, 2017). She is also the author of "The Secret Rescue: An Untold Story of American Nurses and Medics Behind Nazi Lines," a #1 Wall Street Journal e-book bestseller and a finalist for the Edgar and Anthony Awards.
