Catharsis is a teenager LGBTQ+ fantasy novel that centres around eighteen-year-old demon Theo Virzor as he navigates inheriting a Kingdom of Hell whilst coming to terms with his sexuality amidst the threat of war and political violence from the Heavens, as well as his father arranging a marriage for him. When he is confronted with the presence of a human in his kingdom, he is forced to take him in and attempt to solve the mystery of how this young man died and why he can't seem to develop a demon form as all other ex-mortals before him. Theo's developing love for this boy proves to be too much of a liability when it ends up costing him more than he bargained for.
