Catherine L. Schweig grew up in an inter-racial, multicultural home, where she engaged poetry and art to explore identity since childhood. In 2012 she founded an online sisterhood dedicated to honoring women’s voices from which four anthologies emerged. Catherine is also editor of the first collection of poems by contemporary women of the Bhakti Yoga tradition, and serves as a board member of the Janavi Held Endowed Poetry and Art Grant. She and her life partner live on the banks of Yoder Pond where they practice an eco-friendly, ahimsa-vegan lifestyle and live off solar energy.
