Cathy Jean Maloney is the Senior Editor of Chicagoland Gardening magazine. She has published hundreds of articles for national and regional landscape and gardening magazines. Maloney has taught at the Chicago Botanic Garden and writes a monthly column for the Morton Arboretum. Her other books include the Prairie Club of Chicago (Arcadia: 2001), and the forthcoming The Gardener’s Cottage in Riverside, Illinois (Center for American Places and the University of Chicago Press: 2009).
