The daughter of a cattleman, I grew up in the small towns of Ellinwood and Oakley, Kansas. Those of you from those areas will see references to Kansas in my second book and then again in the third book called Judas Hitchhikes at Sixteen, which I’m hoping to get published. My college preference was Fort Hays State University located in Hays, KS. I enjoyed it there so much, that I found myself including the school in the second book, The Boy Named Lucifer. After marrying Shawn Kari, I graduated with a B.A. in Communications, and we moved to beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado, where we lived for six years. If the Judas book is published, you will read about references to that area. California later became home, when we settled close to the Los Angeles area and started our family. Alexis is now fifteen and Jesse is thirteen. We enjoy sharing in the many adventures found in Southern California, plus, on a personal note, my other passions include writing, designing, and water aerobics. High Desert Church in Victorville, CA, is where we spend a lot of time as well. It’s a non-denominational, Bible-based, Oikos-driven church where we have learned, grown, and served.
