Christina Ståhle (born 1965, London) is a Swedish political scientist and novelist. She holds an MA in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins and a degree in screenwriting from UCLA. Born to Swedish parents and raised across Europe and the Middle East, she brings a multilingual, international background to her writing. Her first novel, Before He Was Red, is a historical fiction inspired by true events in the crumbling Ottoman Empire of 1876. Weaving an intimate love story through the political turmoil of a collapsing empire, the book explores the themes of love, freedom, and belonging.
