Christine Ather (Heather Christine Schneider) lives in Alberta, Canada with her husband, their two children, and their cats Spice and Juniper. Born and raised in a Bavarian town in British Columbia, Christine Ather came to Calgary Alberta to study Music and Theology at Victory Bible College where she met her husband. Just after their first child was born she took an evening college course in Photography at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology where she went on to photograph weddings and family photos. However, since Christine was a teenager, part of her has always dreamed of being a writer, dabbling in song writing, poetry and short stories. She started writing books while her first child was little and worked on them periodically throughout the years. She has a few manuscripts waiting to be finished. After years of hard work, she has finally decided to make her dream of becoming a published novelist a reality. Burning is Christine Ather's debut novel. When Christine is not writing, she enjoys reading, book collecting, yoga, kickboxing, singing in church and spending time with her family. Introvert to the very core, her favorite place to be is home.
