It is unusual for a girl to hatch out of a butterfly chrysalis, but is it also unusual that she has magic available at her fingertips? For Luana, she had no choice in the matter, magic is a part of her. Nevertheless, she is haunted by a task given to her by a woman she calls her mother, and thrust off a mountain temple to live in the human world. Magic is just another obstacle Luana has to overcome. Along with bandits and monsters roaming the world, one would think completing a simple task like finding a long lost man would be the easy part. Little does she know that the long lost man is on high alert, waiting for her, like he has waited for all those that have come before her. Is does not take her long to fall in love with the human world, and a compassionate hunter who lives there, but as Luana realizes where the monsters come from, and why the man she seeks is ready for her, she realizes it is up to her to protect the world she has only just come to know.
