Born and raised in the North East of England, I developed a passion for writing whilst at university. It was only when I was in my 30's that I got serious about writing, I was looking for a new outlet whilst being a full time carer and originally came up with a short story to occupy my mind... However that short story quickly turned in to The Velvet Chronicles. I have always loved anything to do with the supernatural, vampires, werewolf's and all those things that go bump in the night, so wanted to create a book that incorporated those elements as well as a strong female lead. I had always been heavily influenced by other authors of vampire based books but always wanted that little bit more... more action, more blood, more sex... So I guess I wrote the book I wanted to read. When I am not writing I follow my other passion, and that is being a geek. I love everything geeky and am privileged to help run the best geek group in the UK. So if you go to comic cons and geek events in England and Scotland, you may find me raising money for charity and geeking out. I am defiantly not your average author.
