Hi! "I'd drive a stick shift mattress down the highway if I could," is one of my favorite parts of this book! A lot of life changes brought about a cross country road trip with my trusty dog Margo and basically my entire life in a minivan. Being 3,000 miles away was scary and exhilarating all at the same time. I was laid off from my remote position shortly after arriving and lived in three different tiny cottages in the backyards of houses for more than a year before a new remote position opened up. It was during that time of fear and uncertainty and a bit of enchantment, that the novel poured out of me. In fact, about six of them are in my head and I can't wait to finish the second one about Goldie's life. Hoping for early 2025. I am a firm believer that out of change, can come great ideas if you'll allow them. Turning to gratefulness, my own deadpan humor, the ability to draw strength when I never knew how much I had, has been a blessing. I hope you'll enjoy this first book and embrace all that is challenging, quirky, serendipitous and enchanting in your own beautiful life, as well! xxoo, Colleen and Margo
