That’s when she created Movies for the Ear®, audio programs with actors, sound effects and musical scores by an award-winning film composer. Haunted Cattle Drive won the Audie Award for Best Original Production from the Audio Publishers Association, and it was distributed by Good Housekeeping Kids. Anderson also created audio-based drama kits that were successfully sold to schools and afterschool programs in the U.S. and to military bases overseas. With Creepers Mysteries, kids can enjoy reading the book (in the front). Then they can star in their own Movie for the Ear® using the script (in the back). Instead of just listening to the audio programs, kids create the characters’ voices and sound effects themselves. They can even add spooky music. Titles include Haunted Cattle Drive (Creepers Mysteries, Book 1), and Toadies (Creepers Mysteries, Book 2). Anderson has a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Minnesota, and an M.F.A. in Drama from the University of Georgia. She lives in Minnesota with her husband and two furry friends.
