This series is quite unusual, because Max & Carla are trouble shooters for a shadowy global enterprise, known as The Organisation. The theme running through the series is their life together as they undertake the many varied 'missions' for their less than legal employer. Max Fortune becomes ensnared in the glamorous, but criminal world of Carla Day and The Organisation she works for. The secretive global empire recruits Max to act as a sort of trouble shooter and they team him up with Carla. The missions seem simple enough, but great danger lurks in the shadows as they do The Organisation’s bidding. Carla has secrets and a past that she cannot shake off. Someone wants her dead and Max is included. Can they survive as death awaits them at every turn.
