Lori Joseph is a proud Hufflepuff, a ferocious book dragon, and an admitted candy addict. She has always been an avid reader with a wild imagination but it wasn't until she started attending book conventions that she caught the writing bug. And what a bug it is! With the encouragement from her wife and best friend she agreed to write a short story for an Area 51 Raid Anthology. Taking Initiative was quick and fun to write and was later released as a stand alone novella. Shortly after finishing that story she signed up for another anthology, this time trying her hand at YA. Rel’s Awakening was released in February 2021 in Once Upon a Brother's Grimm. Lori was born in Washington DC but has lived most of her life in Florida. Currently living in Melbourne, Florida with her wife, their adoring pre-teen son, two dogs aptly named Barnes and Noble, and two spastic cats. Lori’s only real expertise is the ability to ignore everything around her while she reads. When she isn’t reading or writing, she can usually be found in the kitchen or spending time with her extended family. Lori has never met a stranger, talking to anyone to collect tidbits for future stories. Having read several thousand books in her lifetime, she’s tried keeping track but found it's nearly impossible. Lori has just one goal before her 50th birthday; to publish no less than 20 books. She is currently working on her next Crimson Moon Hideaway book and a paranormal mystery series set in the Florida Keys. You can read about how she came up with these story ideas in her monthly newsletter!
