They were a family once. Now they’re survivors. In the wake of an unprecedented meteorite strike, chaos reigns as survivors grapple with devastation unlike anything seen before. Anchorman Nick Alvarez faces the daunting challenge of finding his way home to his family in Louisville, while his wife Chris battles desperate circumstances on the farm, balancing survival with the urgent need for medical aid. Their rebellious daughter, Gabby, finds herself entwined in a world of trauma at a FEMA camp, where she becomes a beacon of resilience—and a target for danger. As the meteor strikes continue and the world descends into turmoil, secrets unfold within emergency services teams, weary families, and looming threats. Nick, Chris, and Gabby become unwilling heroes in a desperate race for survival against time, rogue looters, and the ever-present danger of the unknown. In Crumbling Dawn, the stakes have never been higher, and every decision counts as they fight not just for their lives, but to keep each other together against the crumbling façade of their world. Join them in this heart-pounding sequel as they navigate a landscape filled with unforgiving challenges and discover what it truly means to hold on to hope amidst the chaos. This is the second of a six-book series.

Welcome to my little space out on the web. I'm Kenny Soward, and I'm an author, musician, and once IT guy. I write books in many sub-genres of Science Fiction and Fantasy, including post-apocalyptic, military science fiction, epic fantasy, and horror. I'm influenced by authors such as Stephen King, George R. R. Martin, Anne Rice, J.K. Rowling, Mark Lawrence, Dan Simmons, Robin Hobb, Robert McCammon, Larry Correia, and Mike Kraus. I love all kinds of movies and shows from Battle Star Galactica (reboot) to the Walking Dead. There's nothing I won't try. I grew up in Kentucky in a small suburb just south of Cincinnati, Ohio, listening to hard rock and playing outdoors. In those quiet 1970's streets, I jumped bikes, played Nerf football, and came away with many scars. My grandfather and many of my uncles and cousins served in the United States Military, and my father was a Kentucky State Trooper. Their efforts taught me the meaning of sacrifice and gratitude. I've always had an avid curiosity about the world around me, and I hope my enthusiasm for life carries over into my stories, even the dark ones.
