In Vista, California back in 1970 I received a typewriter as a Christmas present from my mom and stepfather. That was the beginning of my interest in writing. With the help of some awesome teachers I was guided in the art form of writing. After the loss of my best friend I was blocked for many years. Finally after my son won a poetry competition, I decided to get back on the horse, so-to-speak. I'm glad I did.
