An English-language translation of the fifteenth century Catalan-language "Curial e Güelfa". The introduction by Antoni Ferrando provides a critical analysis of the work and its scholarship. The text itself is a chivalric novel (knight's tale) describing the (mis)adventures of Curial as he moves from minor noble to prince under the direction of his love and patroness Guelfa.
