Childers is an Atlanta native who worked as a career paramedic for 27 years, both locally in Atlanta and in remote-duty settings in places as varied as the Russian Arctic to the Middle East to West Central Africa. Now retired from working as a paramedic, D. A. Childers is devoting his time and efforts to his writing. His work is mostly in the crime/psychological thriller and horror realms, but he also writes some other random stuff from time to time under pseudonyms.
