Author D.J. Golden has always enjoyed writing, in many different forms, ranging from fiction to intricate legal contracts (when he’s practicing as a business lawyer). When his family adopted an adorable bunny named Mashmi, he was inspired to put his writing skills into a more creative outlet by penning his new children’s picture book, I Am Mashmi! A Pet Bunny Gets a New Home and a Very New Life! D.J. believes a good children’s story is one that has relatable characters and conveys a life lesson in a subtle manner. In this unique rhyming book, Mashmi the bunny tells the story and color photos show her expressions and adventures. D.J. hopes readers of all ages will find joy and laughter – whether from reading, listening to, or seeing Mashmi in action. He believes I am Mashmi! is a book they will enjoy returning to again and again. When he isn’t writing unconventional and lighthearted stories for children, D.J. enjoys spending time with his family, reading great books, watching movies, and, of course, watching Mashmi and her silly antics. He lives in Miami, Florida. I Am Mashmi! is his debut children’s book.
