Dropping the Veils

2005

Robbed of her self-esteem during a loveless marriage, recently divorced Lyssa Markham allows her best friend to drag her, costumed as Salome, to a masquerade. She's shocked then intrigued to discover the participants are members of an exclusive club. Hiding behind her mask, she permits her long-submerged sensual side to re-emerge as sights and sounds bombard her. Seeing a dark sexy gladiator inspires her to dance for him, seductively removing one veil at a time until she falls into his hot embrace. Days later, she learns her ex has neglected to fulfill an urgent financial stipulation in the divorce decree. Unable to reach him, she storms into his lawyer's office to resolve the problem and comes face to face with her gladiator. His first words, "Lift up your skirt...Salome." Robert Savidge is everything a woman could want—rich, handsome, successful. Should she obey her impulse and run from him? Or can she find the courage to explore her nascent sensuality with this man who so obviously wants to teach her? Originally published by Ellora's Cave (as The Dance Series), these books are now being/will be offered by Platinum Publishing.

Dance of the Rogue

2009

Book 4 in the Dance series.Love-’em-and-leave-’em bad-boy Rolf has met his match, and she’s nothing like his usual dalliances. Older, plus-sized Fantine is a woman who embraces her curves and revels in her femininity. A weekend of pleasure that begins as a sizzling sexual distraction to both sparks a deeper need that neither was looking for, a connection neither is able to relinquish.Fantine also brings Rolf a gift beyond measure—a link to the dark-eyed, dark-haired father he always suspected was his, not the blond-haired, blue-eyed sire of his brothers. Amid the joy of learning of his new family and a tempestuous relationship burgeoning with steamy sexuality and newfound emotions, a new side to Rolf emerges—the man he never thought he could be, and the lover of Fantine’s deepest fantasies.Note: Dance of the Rogue, the final book in the Dance series, brings characters from earlier books back together for a poignant finale. I write erotic romance because I firmly believe that life doesn't stop at the bedroom door. I had a deeply romantic relationship with my husband of 22 years, and I want to celebrate his memory in my writing. After he died, it took me a long time to come out of my grief, but parts of him—his honor, courage, optimism, tenacity, and lust for life—live on in all my heroes. They’re all alpha men, as well. And I write erotic romance because I feel you're never too old to give or receive love. Many of my stories have older heroines who dazzle younger men, and I wouldn't mind being such a heroine in real life. But that's another story... I'm a member of Romance Writers of America, Liberty States Fiction Writers, and EPIC - the Electronic Publishing Industry Coalition. I’ve written for Ellora’s Cave since signing my first contract in 2004. I love gardening, and grow peonies (my friend calls them the “floozies” of the flower world), dahlias and other showy flowers. I play the piano occasionally, listen to classical music almost all the time, and sometimes dance to music only I can hear. And I read, read, read. I hope you do, too.
