Daniel J. Patinkin is a Chicago-based author and screenwriter. He has published two narrative nonfiction books: The Crippler: Cage Fighting and My Life on the Edge (Skyhorse Publishing, 2016) and The Trigger: Narratives of the American Shooter (Arcade Publishing, 2018). His newest book, entitled Distortion, is his first novel and is due for release in 2023. Patinkin's work has been featured and/or reviewed in the The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, USA Today, Salon, Publishers Weekly, Kirkus Reviews, Vice, Library Journal, and more. He possesses a B.A. from Indiana University and an M.F.A. from the University of Southern California.
