Prof Daniel John Cunningham was a Scottish physician, zoologist, and anatomist. He earned his M.D. from the University of Edinburgh in 1876. From 1876 until 1882 he worked at the University of Edinburgh. From 1883 until 1903 he was Professor of Anatomy at Trinity College, Dublin. In 1903 he returned to the University of Edinburgh where he was Professor of Anatomy until his death.
