Darja Suri was born in 1997 and grew up in Estonia. She has a technical educational background, but has been interested in literature since childhood and has been writing short stories since the age of twelve, with the long-standing intention of one day publishing her work. She writes prose at the intersection of psychological thriller and social drama, exploring themes of mental (un)health, complex family and romantic relationships, and the darker sides of what is often perceived as “normal” life. Her writing has been published online, including the short stories Part of the Lighthouse and While I Was Gone (in Russian).
