Dear Author, Berran FitzHugh returns from crusade to an England torn by civil war, and needs a wife and an heir to solidify his claim on his estates. He sets his sights on Cecelia D'Angers; when her brother Ranulf refuses Berran's suit, Berran decides he will take her anyway. A muddy skirmish leaves Berran at Ranulf's mercy, and neither is prepared for the strange attraction that springs up between them. One thing becomes clear: Berran's heart is held captive as well as his body. This story was written as a part of the M/M Romance Group's "Love is Always Write" event.
