Dark Souls II: Into the Light is a one-shot digital comic based on the Dark Souls series. It is written by Rob Williams and Andi Ewington, with the art by Simon Coleby. It introduces the world and story of Drangleic, where the player's character travels as a Hollow seeking souls. It warns that the journey will be very challenging and they may lose their sense of self, but also promises a sense of achievement if they can overcome the difficulties that await. The first two pages of the novel were released online for free on January 8, 2014. According to Namco Bandai Games Europe, a limited print version was released "for certain editions of the game in certain countries"
