Darren Camp currently lives in Seattle, Washington, USA, but is a displaced “Hoosier” having been born in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, home of the world famous Indy 500. Darren is proud to have worked for The 5th Avenue “Musical” Theatre, ‘birthplace’ of five Tony Award-winning Broadway Musicals: Hairspray, Shrek, Catch Me If You Can, Memphis and Disney’s Aladdin. Three of Darren's published works are Broadway Musical scripts. Darren currently works for Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle. Darren was first "published" in 4th grade, at Oak Hill Elementary School in Evansville, Indiana. Every grade level in the school was given a different writing or art project. All 4th graders were instructed to write a short story explaining why something is the way it is today. Darren wrote a story about why bears have short, stubby tails instead of longer tails. The best entries, including Darren's, were chosen for each grade level and put together in a "book" made up by the school, titled "Sand Castles." When Darren isn't writing, he likes to play the guitar, and previously had a 'gretal' (grunge-metal) band called "SEA." SEA's debut (and only) album, "Arrival," written, performed, recorded and engineered by Darren, is up on YouTube. Darren also does voice-overs and narration for videos. See the videos section of Darren's author profile to hear an example of his work done for the Canadian government.
