David B. Kear is an author, award-winning screenwriter, and teacher who lives in Dallas, TX. He is the author of Through the Harvest and screenwriter for the short film Far From the Tree, which he adapted from that novel. The short film screened at film festivals around the United States, England, and Australia, including the famed TCL Chinese Theater (formerly Grauman's) in Hollywood, at the HollyShorts Film Festival. David received awards from IndieFest and LA Shorts for the screenplay. When he’s not writing or teaching high school seniors that the Creature’s name is not “Frankenstein,” he is working in his garden.
