
David H.T. Wong was born and raised in Vancouver. He is an Architect and was trained as a Botanist. David was recently inducted as an Honorary Witness by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada and was named by the Vancouver Sun newspaper as one of British Columbia's "100 influential Chinese-Canadians". In 2012, he received the Queen's Diamond Jubilee medal in recognition of his environmental and intercultural work. His first book, "Escape to Gold Mountain" is a best selling graphic novel that narrates a history of the Chinese in North America.
