Since 2014, I have been a historical interpreter at Washington Crossing Historic Park (PA), where I conduct guided tours relating to the "Ten Crucial Days" of the American Revolution, the period from December 25, 1776 through January 3, 1777, which is the subject of my two books ("Rescuing the Revolution" and "The Road to Assunpink Creek") and an integral part of my most recent work ("John Haslet's World"). My blog ("Speaking of Which" at dpauthor.com) focuses on a variety of topics relating to the War of Independence, and my current literary project is a book on the Battle of Harlem Heights in 1776 for Westholme Publishing as part of its "Small Battles" series. In addition, I had three articles published in the Journal of the American Revolution in 2021, one of which ("Thomas Knowlton's Revolution") will appear in JAR's annual hardcover book due out in April 2022, featuring the best articles from the prior year as selected by the editors. I am also a historical interpreter at Princeton Battlefield State Park (NJ) for the Princeton Battlefield Society. I live in Lawrence Township, NJ (known as Maidenhead at the time of the Revolution).
