D.C. Shaftoe is a Speech-Language Pathologist, primarily working with children with autism and their families. On those days, she spends a lot of time running, playing with trains, and sitting in kiddie chairs. In 2010, as her children reached a new level of independence, she began to write. Shaftoe’s first book was well received, and she has been writing ever since. Shaftoe writes what has been described as a unique blend of thriller, suspense, and romance. She does not shy away from trauma and real-life scenarios though she values a happy ending. I hope you enjoy Forged in the Jungles of Burma, Assassin’s Trap, Enemy by Association, Reckless Association, Imperfect (also published as Lethal Intentions), and the newest offering, Coffee, Kamloops, and a Copper Mine. D. C. Shaftoe lives in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada with her husband and two children.
