As an avid reader, particularly of fantasy novels, including those by JRR Tolkein, CS Lewis, Terry Brooks, Terry Pratchett and Robert Rankin, amongst others, I knew that one day I just had to write a children’s fantasy story of my own. It was having my two beautiful children that gave me the inspiration to finally write that story. And so, The Long Ears Legacy was born. The Harp of Elvyth became the first book in the series and it begins the story of young Lizzie Longton as she makes her way through two very different parallel worlds - The Human World and the Mystic World full of amazing magical, mystical beings. Book two, The Dragon Flyers and book three, The Light Knights continue Lizzie’s adventures and I am currently working on the final book in the series. In addition to the main books there is a special Christmas adventure with Lizzie and her friends. I'm so proud that the books have received fantastic reviews and feedback from readers from all over the Human World. Hopefully I might get one from the Mystic World one day! As well as the Long Ears Legacy I have written a novelette - A Grave Affair - (available on Kindle) written for young adults and there are other works in progress. So, my message to all you prospective writers out there is, go for it! Follow your dreams and they will come true, one way or another.
