Writing and publishing books is a long-held dream for me. I've always been a storyteller. Even as a preschooler, I was making up stories and writing them down. In high school, I worked on the student newspaper. At the University of Washington, I wrote for The Daily and earned an undergraduate degree in communications, becoming a journalist for community newspapers and then moving into public relations, eventually running my own firm. Still, there was the siren call of fiction and the catalyst turned out to be COVID and daily online visits with my granddaughter. She wanted me to write a story about her. "In Zoey's Closet" is the result and while I don't think there are a cadre of magical characters living in her bedroom closet, she loved 'her' story with all its fantastical adventures. I hope you do, too.
