Deborah Rix has had a successful career in entertainment publicity, live music promotion, corporate communications and event management. She lives with her family in Toronto, Canada, where she is the proprietor of The Lucky Penny, a corner store and take-out joint in the Trinity-Bellwoods neighbourhood. External Forces is her first novel.
