Deedee Messana is a proud native New Yorker who grew up in the shadow of the original Yankee Stadium. She is a graduate of New York University Tisch School of the Arts. Deedee describes herself as a reader who loves to write and an indie writer who loves to read. Nancy Drew and Agatha Christie are two of her favorites. She also loves "bad" horror movies from the 1950's and 1960's. Surprise! She has the same obsessions as her protagonist/alter ego Dashiell Quirke! Deedee is a former executive with CBS Television and is now lucky enough to be writing full time. She is married with two grown sons and lives in Los Angeles. She roots for the Dodgers only if the Yankees or the Mets aren't playing. SISTERS IN CRIME is her first novel.
